Jimmy and Chae started Earthling Foods to fill a gap in the market with snacks unlike anything else. Our mission is simple: scratch-made treats using real, whole ingredients that taste as good as they are pure. Keeping nutrition whole, scrapping out the harmful stuff, and adding extra benefits.

2019

Earthling Foods started in the quiet hours. Jimmy and Chae both held down full-time jobs, but as soon as the clock struck five, we’d head straight to our shared kitchen in Coquitlam. We spent countless nights testing recipes until the sun came up. It wasn't just proof of concept; it was a labor of love to get every bite exactly right.

Spring 2020

When the pandemic hit and the world went into lockdown, our lives came to a standstill for six months. In that silence, we realized it was now or never. We took a leap of faith and launched Earthling Foods from a tiny 8x4 ft kitchen in Port Coquitlam. It wasn't much space, but it was all the room we needed to start a revolution in snacking.

Fall 2020

As orders surged across our social media and site, we became a two-person delivery fleet. Every contactless drop-off was more than just a delivery—it was a way to share a bit of comfort during a time when everyone needed it most.

Winter 2020

From doorsteps to big-box shelves! After catching the eye of a large supermarket buyer, we officially sent out our first major purchase order of Dacarons™. This wasn't just a delivery; it was the moment Earthling Foods truly went province-wide across BC.

2021

We officially turned the key to our own front door. After months of surging demand and expanding onto more shelves across the country, we traded our shared kitchen for a manufacturing space of our own. It’s a big step for our small-batch brand, allowing us to keep up with the love you’ve shown us while staying true to our simple ingredients.

2022

From a single kitchen to a provincial staple. We hit a major milestone when we launched across 80 retail locations, quickly followed by another 50. Today, Earthling Foods is proud to be found on over 130 shelves, proving that simple, whole ingredients are exactly what the market was waiting for.

2023

We’ve leveled up our logo and name to match the energy of our growing community. We’re still the same sibling-led team, still baking from scratch in BC, but now we’re doing it with a brand that’s ready for the big stage.

2024

When we started Earthling, we promised to never stop innovating. In 2024, that promise led us to a hard pivot that changed everything.

We’ve spent months perfecting our Protein Cake Cups, inspired by our gourmet pastry techniques and the question: where can we put all these left over, high-protein almond meringues to good use? Obsessed with the idea that high-performance nutrition should taste like a reward, not a chore, we’ve created something entirely unparalleled. Packed with 20 grams of protein, and the same quality you’ve trusted since our 8x4 kitchen, evolved for the next chapter of your journey.

2025

New facility. Global standards. Local ingredients. Earthling officially moves to Coquitlam, passing our first SQF audit and scaling our dream. Alongside our new home, we’re dropping our latest obsession: Protein Granola. It’s the first of its kind in Canada, boasting 22g of protein using zero milk. We’re pushing the boundaries of what local, 'from-scratch' nutrition can be.

The dream that started in a tiny 8x4 kitchen has officially gone coast-to-coast. Armed with our new SQF-certified facility, Earthling Foods has launched nationally! We are bringing our Protein Cake Cups and Protein Granola to over 80 new stores across the country.
