About Us
Chae Kim
Chae is an experienced food entrepreneur and marketer with years of experience in food and beverage. Developing new and innovative methods to bring growth in the cafe industry has always been Chae's passion.
Jim Kim
Jimmy always had passion for developing a great bakery product and with Dacarons being his wife's favourite dessert, he sought to bring this to life in Canada. Jimmy is also a trained cook/baker, working in various bakeries, cafes and restaurants.
Our Story
Late 2019
Proof of concept and recipe testing. Jimmy & Chae both had full time jobs, but they went to their shared kitchen after work to develop recipes.
Fall 2020
Earthling Bakery started contactless deliveries door-to-door for the customers locked in their homes. Orders kept coming in through our website, Instagram, and Facebook.
Summer 2021
Our continuous growth in sales, partnerships, and accounts help us move out into our own manufacturing space in just a year. We begin building our space, bootstrapped, one equipment at a time.
Spring 2023
Earthling Foods launches a rebrand of the logo and new mascot - Astro Bob!
Spring 2020
Covid-19 global pandemic hit and many businesses, including our store at the time went on lockdown. Jimmy and Chae realized the time is now or never! They started Earthling Foods at a small 8 x 4 ft commissary kitchen space in Port Coquitlam.
Winter 2020
After a buyer notices our Dacquoise product, we send out our first purchase order of Dacarons to T&T Supermarket in BC, followed by H-mart, Sungiven Foods, and a distributor.
Spring - Summer 2022
Earthling Foods launches across the province to over 80 stores, then another 50, followed by Blenz Coffee.
Spring 2024
Earthling Foods launches Protein Cake Cups, our US partner location and franchising!
